The British International School of Stockholm
The British International School of Stockholm is fundraising for our second annual Terry Fox Run!
In 2025, BISS organized the first Terry Fox Run in Sweden. The Terry Fox Run began in Canada, with Terry's Marathon of Hope, and is now organized in over 30 countries.
At 18, Terry Fox was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma, which led to the loss of his leg. He received cancer treatment in the children's wing. Witnessing the effect of cancer had a profound impact on Terry. At 21 years old, Terry set out on his incredible Marathon of Hope, running across Canada to raise money for cancer research. His determination and bravery started a movement that's still going strong today! Terry ran an average of 42 kilometers every day for 143 days. That's like running a full marathon every single day! So let's step up and make a difference just like Terry did! Talk to your family, friends, and neighbors about donating and start fundraising today. Let's show how powerful we can be when we work together.
