What is Stream of Hope?

Stream of Hope is a charity stream that took place on the International Children's Cancer Day, 15th of February 2020. The event is a new initiative by the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund together with a group of dedicated streamers to raise money through donations. All money raised during the event, are used for research and training, advice and support, and information, the three missions of the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund. ​

In Stream of Hope we gather streamers from Sweden and Europe who wants to join the fight against childhood cancer. The event is digital and taking place online at Twitch, a digital platform used by streamers all around the world. Together we help affected children and their families! 

When is the charity stream taking place?

The first edition of Stream of Hope took place on Feb 15th, the International Children's Cancer Day. This day is celebrated annually to raise awareness and to express support for children and adolescents with cancer, survivors and their families.​ Stream of Hope will during this day be a part of an international force to fight childhood cancer. ​
Upcoming events will be anounced soon. 

How long will the charity stream be active?     

The event will be active during 24 hours, but all attending streamers can chose how long their stream will be up and running.​ Take a look at our streaming schedule to see when your favorite streamer will be broadcasting.

What are the money used for?

All money raised during the event, are used for research and training, advice and support, and information, the three missions of the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund. If you want to know more about where your money goes, please visit: Where your money goes

Where can I follow the charity stream? 

Stream of Hope is a digital event and is taking place online at Twitch, a digital platform used by streamers all around the world. The attending streamers are broadcasting live from their own Twitch channels. You can find all the streamers, and their channels here.

Who can participate in Stream of Hope? 

If you are a streamer and are using the platform Twitch, you can join the charity stream. It doesn't matter how many followers or viewers you have. Please don't stream mature games with an agelimit of 18 years or above. If you have questions about this, please don't hesitate to contact us. Except from this, you can play whatever game you like, or just chatting!  

How can I support Stream of Hope? 

All streamers will be raising money through their Twitch channels. You can support your favorite streamer and donate to the importance work of the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund. Find the streamer you would like to support in the list of participating streamers. Then follow the link to their twitch channel. The streamer have a link below their twitch channel where you can make your donation.

For creators and streamers

I want to join! How do I sign up for Stream of Hope?

If you are interested to attend, please send an email to event@barncancerfonden.se or a message on our Discord. We will then give you all information needed. Please send us a link to your twitch channel for best support possible. 

What happens once I have signed up? 

After the sign up, we will publish your name, your picture and a link to your twitch channel on our webpage. You will also recieve an email with more information about Stream of Hope. 

How to set up donations connected to Stream of Hope on Twitch. 

Our first recommendation to all attending streamers is to use the donation platform Hihat. If you use this platform and follow the steps below, all money will automaticly be transfers directly to the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund. If your a swedish streamer, please visit "Streama för barncancerfonden" and follow the steps. If your an international streamer or don't want to use swish, please contact us.
